Do you think Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society is just a supporting role?

Though, he stole the show but his screen time is limited.

Jack Nicholson had about 11-12 minutes in A Few Good Men, it was enough to over-shadow the rest of the cast put together (Kiefer Sutherland making up most of that challenge).

Christopher Lee had a similar amount of screen-time in Dracula: Prince of Darkness ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059127/ ), but topped Nicholson by not saying a word due to the dialogue being so bad.

So no, for Robin's performance and his character's influence on the story he was certainly not a supporting role.

I would say he had the Lead Role in the movie. But, there were many other characters....I would consider the others the supporting actors.
