It sounds like you are feeling alone and need to be heard and listened to by someone that will identify with you.

I was raped by someone I knew. I was terribly ashamed and felt guilty because I allowed myself to be in a vulnerable situation where I couldn't physically resist, as if I really had much of a chance resisting a man. Anyway, I never told on him because I had washed away the evidence, blamed myself, and knew it was my word against his and didn't want to go through all the trauma of a trial. I guess I really just felt guilty or responsible and didn't hold him accountable. I am grateful that the rape wasn't violent.

While I don't know the persons posting the questions, I do care for them as human beings and see some of myself reflected in each person. I listen to how they feel, make suggestions when they have asked, and share my experience. I avoid judging them and telling them what to do. I may remind them that they are precious and that they get to choose what to do and how to feel.

You may YIM me through my answers profile. I am always invisible however I am not always online and will return your IM when I encounter it.

Kind regards

The honest and best way to deal with rape is to find a CARING conselor... a psychologist, NOT a psychiatrist! I was molested, not raped, but I can still understand what you are gonig thru. Either way, a person is taken advantage of. Do you want to turn this person in or tell someone you know? OR do you just need to talk? If so... I will listen(read). GOD cares!!!

First, i'm one of the good ones, and this answer is worth reading. and also, answering the first question (does anyone care?), yes i do. i always feel a personal attachment to the questions i answer, whether i know the scenario or not.

anyway, dealing with rape is a difficult topic. firstly, i dunno any of the specifics, but a generic guess would probably help you a bit. if you know who it is, you can turn them in. i know that that's not the easiest way, but it will help you sleep better. it's an unwritten fact that if the perp of a violent act is not put behind bars, the victim is more likely to live in fear as a result. putting the bast@rd in irons is safer and better on the mind for you. there are also excellent Rape Hotlines that you could call if you need experienced help to work you through the more emotionally traumatic portions of this event.

if you'd like, you could email me. i'm no expert, but i am a good listener and give good advice for the topix i can help with. good luck, and God Bless.

Plenty of people care and there are plenty that don't. I don't think Yahoo Answers is the best place for you to discuss your rape. You need to discuss this with someone you trust and more importantly seek help from a professional. Have you had a medical examination yet? Get one. Your doctor should be able to send you in the right direction for the help you need.

Well..... I care about the PERSON. Not the points. And I'm not lying. I really love being there for people. I really do.

You should report the person who raped you.
Would you want him to rape another person again?

well yeah i think alot of people when they see a question they absolutly can help with I think that they do. I wish I could help you here but I dont know how you should deal with that. I would suggest a woman counselor.

You should report them, so they will not get away with it again and again. Then you should ask the police afterwards for information on some support groups to help you through this.
