Legally, just one.

By law, only one. Polygamy was outlawed in 1896 so that Utah could become a state. A FEW people still practice polygamy and in those cases either the other wives are wives to the family but not recognized by the govt. Or a man may marry a woman divorce her, marry the next, etc.. so that they can take his name and be legally married to him at least once. Hope that helps.

The same as everywhere else--just one. It's written in the Utah State Constitution--just one.

Mormons also only have ONE wife. The church outlaws plural marriage. There are some splinter groups, who cannot actually be called "Mormon" anymore, who practice plural marriage, but the main Mormon church prohibits it.

Legally, just one. I have heard stories that (even though it has been outlawed by the Mormon church) there are still polygamists within the Mormon church (which is based in Utah).
