Why can't I smoke a cigarette in my apartment?

My neighbor keeps yelling at me and saying that the smoke carries over to their apartment so they want me to go downstairs and smoke outside every time. that's insane.

If you own your apartment then you can jolly well do as you please inside it. However, if you are renting it, then you should not really smoke inside because the smell goes into everything and your place can eventually smell quite awful which, a smoker may not notice but a non-smoker will. I am a smoker and I smoke outside my apartment, just for the sake of everyone else inside.

Uh, heck no!!! Your apartment, your habits are supposed to go in it without problems. Tell your neighbor to get a life and leave yours alone. Geeeezzzz! I have never heard of something so stupid!! Tell him you don't like his Cologne and to put it on AFTER he leaves his apartment and see how he likes that!!!!
