oh. I believe they are a gift and a reward from God but my christian husband says they are a punishment from God.

I cannot understand why you would think such a thing. Children have always been considered to be a gift from God. The pain during giving birth is something every living person or animal has to experience. How the child turns out is really up to the parent or parents so you can't blame anyone else! I have three, all grown up now, and I am SO proud of them ALL! I thank God for them, EVERYDAY!
