relies upon on the kind and quantity of drug confiscated, How and the place it replaced into got here across. And the ethics of the officers who "got here across" them. Technically, all confiscated property is meticulously inventoried and logged with a sequence of evidence custody. as quickly as no longer needed by potential of the courts --- this is "good destroyed." Now some is utilized in stings. some is used for police game. some is used for earnings. there are a number of variables.

I got busted with an ounce, cop took it and let me go home no charges filed. So, I was out a $100 better than being locked up. I like the crooked cops you can usually bribe them

They are supposed to destroy the drugs after the people charged have their trials......but, as you can imagine......some of that evidence can disappear from time to time. Here is Houston there was a regular business going out of the Sheriff's office evidence stock pile.

My son just told me a story earlier of confiscated weed--when it was on the TV news, only 1/2 of what was really confiscated was reported. He thinks they used and sold the rest.

Who knows--I do know that evidence is conveniently missing or under accounted for at trial.
Like judges and cops don't need to fire one up once in awhile.
