Am I right that drag Queens are men that dress up in womens clothes & perform a show (like Chandlers father in the show Friends) or is a drag Queen just a guy that dresses in womens clothes which I thought was a cross dresser? What do they call women who dress up in mens clothes?

Females who perform in male drag are called "Drag Kings" ie the opposite of "Drag Queens." (doesn't take a genius to figure that out)
BTW: Depending on where you are or what major city you live in or near, there's bound to be a "Drag King" group that performs there.

usually drag queens are dressed way more extravagantly than "normal" cross dressers. Like a cross dresser will wear a dress, while a drag queen will turn up in a checkered pantyhose, pink dress with feather boa, hat with cherries...
This is of course a generalisation and not necessarily true in all cases.

A drag queen can be one who performs in shows, but the term can also be applied to a flamboyant crossdresser. And women who dress up in men's clothes... well.. nothing really.. Annie Hall? :) Menswear styles come and go in women's fashions and a lot of women wear them who aren't trying to pass for men at all, however I suppose that one who dressed in head-to-toe and underwear as a man would be a crossdresser too.

Not all Drag Queens preform. Some dress us as an alter egoo, eg like a Dame Edna Everage, but they don't perform they are just personalities.
