Kurt Cobain was the lead singer for "Nirvana" a very very popular grunge music group in the 90's. I guess you could say that he was one of the big leaders of the Seattle Grunge scene.
He was, unfortunately, married to Courtney Love- which is the only reason she is famous. He died of a drug OD in the 90s.
