What is the main reason people get divorced? My parents finally got divorced in 2005. They had been married for more than 25 years. Then, they moved to a new location, and they suddenly started hating each other. Do people get divorced because they finally get sick and tired of each other, or is it because they find someone new? My parents both married other people one year after the divorce.

Wow, 25 years is a long time. I would think they got tired of each other and just couldn't live together anymore. Probably the reason why they could re-marry so soon after the divorce.

People get divorced because they never actually knew and loved each other well enough to get married. Many marriages begin with a feeling of lust not love and a lot of people don't know the difference. Lust can wear off - Love does not. Many couples also know within a year of being married that it was a mistake, but are afraid to admit failure so they try to find a way to make their marriage work. A truly loveless marriage won't work, but may last for years until one or both decide it's time to admit the mistake and end it.

People grow apart or just made a mistake by getting married and get to the point that they just can't stand to be around each other anymore. I speak as a divorced man myself who got remarried not too long after the divorce was final. When the marriage is over years before the actual split up it makes it a lot easier to move on.

it depends on the person, there wont be one single reason...may be thry have extra marital affairs or some peoples feeling wont match , because of misunderstanding, etc......but the truth is it should not happen, u should try to solve the problem within ur self..
