Okay so they are casting for yet again another Batman movie...

They are making another Batman movie called Dark Knight. It is going to have the character 'Two-Face' in there. As I recall, that character was played marvelously by Tommy Lee Jones (one of my absolute faves in Hollywood) in Batman Forever, when Val Kilmer was Batman/Bruce Wayne. What do you think about it all.... should they just leave all that Batman b/s behind? They are casting Aaron Eckhart as 'Two-Face' & Heath Ledger (wonderful Brokeback Mountain Cowboy) as the 'Joker.' How is Heath Ledger going to out to the one, the only: Jack Nicholson as the Joker? I mean what gives?? It was fine enough they way it was...

Well, first of all, this newest string of Batman movies aren't sequels. They're trying to breathe new life into the franchise, and what better way to do that, than to start all over.
Personally, the first one with Michael Keaton was the best. He had the whole bitter, tired hero thing down pat, and yes, Jack was best for the Joker. After that, the movies got a little too campy, because everybody whined that the first one was too dark. What nobody realized was, Tim Burton was staying faithful to the comic book.
Now, Christian Bale, I thought was also excellent ( everybody else in between Keaton and Bale sucked ), and if the new movies keep the same feel, things look promising. I wish I could remember the new director's name, but he did an excellent job as well.

well first of all **** you for saying Jack Nicholson was a good version of the joker, dont get me wrong hes a great actor and everything but HE IS NOT the right fit for the joker, and as for the "yet another" it (unless i mis-counted) the 6th one in the series vs. series like Friday the 13th which had 9, 10 if you count freddy vs jason, im pretty sure theres about the same amount of superman movies(as the batman series) but im not sure, i was always kinda against superman seeing as how his one weakness was a rock (dont lecture me on that radioactivity from his home planet crap either) and as for Aaron Eckhart he isnt playing twoface as far as i know, i think he is just going to be Harvey Dent or at least for most of the movie, Heath Ledger should fit the roll nicely because as i understand there going to show how the Joker came to be, which there are two versions of the story that i know, he was a 20-something year old guy trying to make ends meet for his family, and so he got into organized crime, he was dressed in all red, and when batman showed up he ran along a (not sure if the word would be gurder) metal bridge thing over a vat of chemicals, he tripped and fell in there by leading to his tranformation into the raging lunatic we all know and love, the other is that he was a stand-up comic that blew harder than jerry signfeld, he was critized in a gotham talent search or something, got pissed off, went crazy, killed a guy, and devolped a taste for carnage -also leading to the raging lunatic we all know and love, either way he will be a better fit the nicholson, and dont be surprised if they continue this series, if people go see it, and pick it up on dvd the'll pump these son bitches out forever

It sounds like you have suffer from low intelligence syndrome. How in the world can you say Tommy Lee Jones did a good "Two-face?" His Two-face was the corniest villian ever! "Batman Forever" bombed in the box office and is regarded as one of the worst comic book movies of all time. "Batman Begins" was not a sequel at all. They are starting the franchise over! Do me a favor and don't watch another movie again!

IT's a whole different franchise of movies....Yes I liked the old ones, but the new ones have a different feel. And why stop telling a great story? They could have dragged it on using obscure characters, but instead they went back and started over at the beginning, telling the same story just with a little darker feel. I like it!

Too many sequels. They have to have a beginning and a ending in order to work in the industry.Batman Begins was good but not great.I say waste of time making a sequels.
