weedeater gti 15t starts fine but when i go to turn choke off it stalls, ive tried waiting 10-20 sec after half choke, even a couple of mins but still stalls, i adjusted idle and mix screw but to no avail, pls help

already cleaned air filter, do you know how many turns of throttle and mix screw there should be

Where the choke is, is the air intake for the machine
if you unscrew the screw so you can take off the plastic top of this compartment you can see the foam filter medium at the edge where the air comes in.
this foam is clogged with dirt, wash it with water or gasoline, shake out really good, re-install the foam and the plastic top and things should work. you may have to reset your needle valves to compensate for messing with them earlier.

Some weed eaters have two screws on the body of the carb, that are labeled H (high) L (low), the low is for idle and high is for when the throttle is open and running at operating speeds. Try adjusting those and listen to the sound of the motor while adjusting, you can tell is the engine is running smooth or ruff. This will help with the mixture of fuel and air into the carb.
