Even though it hurts when someone dies... The shared experiences, memory and things they taught you are worth it. My father died when I was 19 and we were very close... I wouldn't trade my memories of him for anything... It hurt when he passed and it hurts now not to have him here... the pain doesn't get better you just learn to adjust and move on with your life...It's a life changing experience having someone close to you die- but you learn from it- just like you learn from everything... Shying away from intamacy will leave you cold inside and even sadder when someone you knew died- because you will have wished you'd taken the time to really get to know them...

Be grateful for your friends and family- they are grateful for you whether they say it openly or not.

No. Family is one of the good things in life. You should enjoy them, if you can.

Instead, you should accept the fact that people eventually die. It's not pleasent - no one likes loved ones dying - but you are also powerless to stop it. Rather than struggling against it, accept it. It'll come much easier that way. You'll still feel sad, but you'll be able to deal with it.

Enjoying your family is worth it. And really, everything in life is like that to an extent - all pleasures are temporary in nature. Everything ends. The trick is to enjoy it while you have it. That makes it worth it.

I can see where you're coming from, but that's not healthy. You'll only regret not being closer to them while they were alive.
Get as close as you can to them now, and treasure the closeness while you can. When they're gone, you'll want as many wonderful memories of them as possible. Those are what are going to get you through the tough times. They're your family; don't push them into some dark recess in your mind.

No, not in the least. You should love your family while they are here, death is just a part of life. Would you want others to not love you cause they knew that one day you would be no more. Do on to others as you would want done to you!

That is not the right way to look at it. You should spend as much time with them as you can so when they do finally pass on, you will have all those good times to remember them with rather than the fact they have passed. Look at it in a more positive way and not the negative. Good luck!!

I think it's tempting, but if you do, you might regret it later and wish you'd said and did more. It takes a lot of courage to love.
