Sex is a primal urge.. marriage is a social, cultural, religious, and legal institution. People are, after all, highly intelligent , sophisticated animals, and the urge to mate and procreate is universal. In modern society, humans become sexually mature long before they become mentally and emotionally mature, or able to provide financially for a child. People have 'premarital sex' for the same reason they have 'marital' sex.. because it's the natural thing to do. Fortunately we now have effective methods to separate sex from procreation :)

For one I don't think a person should have premarital sex. Because if you are going to marry a person they will wait for you to do the right thing and that is to get married first. God says it is wrong to have sex before marriage, it is a sin. But people do it so they can show how much they love a person. If you feel that you must have sex before marriage then that is your decision, but I will say wait until you are married.
