time and space are two different things... if you were here millions of years ago, you would have seen the earth then not now.

My opinion.

the thing is, firstly, we do not have a large enough telescope to see the other side. Secondly, even light would take googles of years to go around the whole universe. So probably, zillions and zillions and zillions of solar years later, we might see the happenings on earth, which we have not gone to that stage yet.

another thing is, light from earth millions of years ago might never reach us 'cos the universe is always expanding. So, maybe, when the universe collapses, we might see the images of what happened in the entire life of the universe, as if the universe is round, then light would forever be circling around it and light is a form of energy and can never be destroyed.

Possibly, if we saw a reflection of earth off a distant object. A lot of the stuff we see at night is really millions or billions of years younger than it is in the present as light takes an extensive time to cover great distances in the universe.

Technically speaking, yes you could. To actually do this though, you would have to travel faster than light, thereby overtaking the light reflected off the earth in the past. To see the earth a million years ago however, you would have to travel at twice the speed of light for 500,000 years, so not likely to happen any time soon.

There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
