I must share with you I am a memeber of MCC and was very active for years- it sort of a all denominations Gay friendly and prodominantly gay church-
I also have recently learned the secret- Where a belief transends all other beliefs you should look into they even yuse a gay man as an example in the movie- without judgment!

In my opinion (although I'm straight) no religion has the right to condemn anyone no matter their sexual preference. Its gods place to judge and church is a place FOR SINNERS!! And everyone sins. And I believe most do not choose to be gay they are born this way so how can god condemn someone HE created? But as for a real answer to your question I don't have one the only thing I can tell you is you shouldn't have to change your religion to be accepted.
