I am working on a class assignment to teach conflict resolution by mediation. I need some kind of group or team exercise to demonstrate this. Has anyone ever played a game or something in a seminar about this?

Get the students in a circle. Give them a ball of yarn and let them toss it across the circle to anyone they want. When they get finished tell them their job is to work together to untangle the mess. Depending on age of the kids and time, you may not want to use an entire ball of yarn, but make sure there is enough to make it a task for them.

Divide the group into two. Allow one group to meditate for 15 - 30 minutes and the other group not to meditate. After the allotted time. Role play a scenario in which there is a conflict between members in a group. Let both groups present their role playing.
