On the outskirts of Denver Colorado, I've seen these huge white globes, they almost look like golf balls. Does anyone know what they are for. I've seen a lot more since the last time I drove by, it's on I-470.

They do not set on top of anything. They are to the ground and there are various sizes. Most of all I can count more than 10 in a 20+mile radius. Some are located close to each other and others are not. Why would the military need so many "Doppler Radars?" It makes no sense to me. Serious answers need only to apply.

Buckley Air Force Base is located at about E-470 and Jewell. The big white balls house radars for the air force base and the military. People in the area refer to them as "Gods golf balls".

Theres a good chance that they are radar towers for the doppler radar that the news stations have, their towers are out near that area.
Do they look like this: http://www.milehighcity.com/denverradar.jpg
