because there is a piercing gun and the piercing stud hurts like heck.......the worst is the first week after you get it done.....So pain can scare some people. lol.

Piercing itself is scarring, but you can get scarring if the ring is pulled through the skin not pierced.

Because...you're putting a hole through your body, and as your body tries to heal itself it leaves a scar. Back when I was going through my punk-but-still-chic phaze, I had my lip pierced and my nose. I still have a tiny, barely noticeable scar under my lip.

I don't get scared because i trust the people who pierce my ear lobes because they are piercing expert.. ok you mean from the pain? it doesn't really pain only the first 3 seconds!
take care of it and you will see the results.
