The hospital should have given you a bulb syringe. Place it in his cheek, towards his throat and suck out the phlegm. Do this on both sides of the mouth, next to the cheek.

U kno those little blue sometimes pink bulb thingys. Well the hospital should have given u one, if not they can be found in any store in the section for babies. Anyways u stick it in the crack of their mouth and if should suck up the mucus. Don't stick the tube down to far, a little mucus that's left down there won't hurt. But don't give it cold applesauce or baby food either. Anything with a tad of coldness on it can cause the mucus to multiply or become harder.

Many babies do this because some do not swallow well at first. This will pass but you could offer a bottle of water for little sips after but usually they do not like water. If the baby really seems stressed and it goes on and on, I would call the doctor for advice. Enfamil is a good product but you may want to change to the organic Enfamil or another brand BUT not without talking to your doctor. You could really mess baby's stomach up by just changing. Your doctor may suggest a change and may suggest that you use half of one and half of the other formula for a few days. But this is definitely a question for the pediatrician.

Well, how old is the infant? If the infant is really young, keep the baby slightly upright for drainage and use the plunger thingy to remove mucus from the nose.

Your baby could be lactose intolarent but also could just be a lttle stuffed up. Try infant vicks on the chest suck the nose out as often as you can and have a humidifyer on. If none of that seems to help get your baby checked out by his or her doctor better to b safe then sorry. Thats my motto!!!!!!!!

Agree with above answer but want to add that you probably bring this up to his pediatrician. He/she can make sure it isn't a reaction to the formula or reflux.
