They should have requested that you sign the consent form PRIOR to the surgery, it is supposed to be where everything is explained about the procedure and the risks and benefits. Without this form there isn't supposed to be any procedure done. Are you sure that this was the form they were asking you to sign? Or a different one? Not likely much will happen to the doctor in all honesty, the nurses are going to have a bad day however. If you aren't getting adequate treatment, or if you FEEL you aren't then find another physician, they can also transfer your records and will most likely explain anything you need. Unfortunately there are just as many bad physicians out there as good, and some with just really crappy bedside manners! Hope this helps, good luck to you.

If you are saying you did not sign the consent form for
having the surgery, what will happen to him? If you
were consenting to it...I hope nothing happens to him
....because it sounds like you are trying to make a buck.

If you are saying you did not sign the consent form for
him to correct the infection, then again, I hope nothing
happens to him....because the infection would have
remained.

However, there are medical ethics and there is malpractice
insurance which is apparantly where you are leaning.
This is the same thing that drives insurance rates and
medical fees out the roof.

The problem I have with your situation is that you seem to
be trying find a way to profit from what you did not do....yet
were consenting to have done in the first place.

if you dont sign the consent he cant fix anything, at this point he may not even have to fix things, you wait too long and you are stuck, why in the world try to change your body??? if you had as much surgery as i have you wouldnt go under the knife for that sort of thing, try cancer, it cures you of wanting any sort of medical treatment again.
