In science, space is considered to be curved. So that time itself may truly have no ending or beginning but just an infinite curve that closes on itself like a mobus strip, that has just one plane. The greeks wrestled with this and Zeno drove them crazy with his suppositions, so they drowned him because his ideas interfered with their philosophy. For an interesting read, and you really do not need to know how to do all the math, read Everything and More; A Compact History of Infinity (uses the symbol for infinity in the title) by David Foster Wallace. The writer of this book is truly something else and it is an interesting read.

i believe that infinity doesnt exist.... i think it could have but will not and does not. Infinity is just a word to express how long soemthing is.... its an exaggeration.... there is always a beginning how can things end if it never began to say there is no beggining is like saying we were all already here on this earth everyone everyone was born, no... we all began our lives and intend to live it.....

Whatever is not a finite entity is infinity. This actually means that the thing has no boundary or border beyond which something else can exist..... in the case of space it denotes limitless three dimensions and in the case of time it denotes whatever is neither preceded nor succeeded by anything.

Think of a rope with every digit of pi printed on it. You have one end of the rope in your hand, and you start pulling it forward to read each following digit. You'll never see the other end of the rope because it doesn't exist, to us. As you pull on it, you're bringing segments of the rope into existence from a higher dimension of numbers that we can't observe. It's like trying to show a 2d creature a 3d cube. A cube will appear to the creature as an infinite number of square slices.

We classify things we can only observe in segments as infinite. Infinite means it can't be quantified in our dimension.
