Honestly? I would stay behind the scenes and contribute and otherwise support candidates and causes I supported. Maybe also set up a "think-tank" - hire lots of good people to write about and educate people about the issues I care about.

Actually, just educating people about how government works would be a very good thing to do - that way, the people would have more of a say, even if I disagreed with them on a particular issue. Teach people how the system works, and how to get things done! Society would be better if people were more engaged in the process, although many already are. Maybe people would be less cynical about politics and government if they felt more in control, or knowledgeable. Maybe it's a pipe dream, but what the heck.

I would NEVER run for office. I enjoy being totally anonymous! You gotta be a little nuts to want to put up with the intrusions of public life.

Very interesting question! Not one that has been asked over and over.

People with that much money have no business getting into politics. It's just about power and control. If i had that much money if would spend it enjoying my life and helping the people who need and deserve it.

I would play both sides of the fence. Why risk alienating either party?

I'd do what George Soros is doing.
