Slash does not even begin to compare to Randy Rhodes, Randy is one of the top 2 or 3 guitarists I've ever seen live in concert. That was a tragic loss to all music lovers.

This is incomparable. Both were highly influential guitarists with different stylings. Randy Rhoads helped develop neoclassical writing while Slash was, well, Slash. One big difference that makes it hard to compare is that Rhodes died before he had a chance to have a long lasting, full career. Slash, on the other hand, had more time to prove himself. Given these differences, I can't compare them. That's like asking who is better: Satch or Vai? Neither, they are too good and we should respect both. But, if I had to choose, and of course my personal favorite guitar player, is Randy Rhoads.

No comparison! It's Rhodes hands down! He was great even be fore Ozzy when he was in Quite Riot. Very crundhy sound and Ozzy only plays with the best.
