Yes. But SP2 is most useful for Internet connection (protection, firewall etc.) You don't really need it if you are not planning to connect to the internet.

You can either order the CD from Microsoft which is free if you have genuine Windows. Or you can buy just SP2 on a CD. I got one for $20, it was a Christmas promotion. :)

I recieved an SP2 disc from Microsoft. They mailed it to me. I found (I don't need it on my new Gateway, it's on the program allready) it worked better if I installed it from thier SP2 disc, instead of downloading. My Gateway has a dual core AMD 64 processer, which has superfast speed, and can do a million and one tasks without ever slowing down. But, on my old HP Presario with a Cereron processor (one of the slowest made) I needed the disc. You can go to a library perhaps, or borrow time on a friend's computer. Contact Microsoft, and they might still mail you a free SP2 disc like they did for me. I'm not sure if they still do that, it's free support life cycle might be expired, I don't know.(By the way, without an internet connection, you can't download anything from the internet.)

You can order the CD here, I did, I have xp pro sp2 Oem CD, so i didn't use it, they may ask for shipping and handling charges or maybe not, but it's the best option available, or contact me, send me enough to handle the shipping and you can have my cd that I ordered from MS. Good Luck

Look like you have access to the net somewhere. Have someoe download the SP for you and burn it to CD. You can then install it from CD.

Yeap, have a friend download the complete file on a CD or usb key.

Here's the link for them:
