I wanted to wait for a couple games before I'd ask this question because if C-Webb played poorly with the Pistons, my question would be answered. However with the addition of Chris Webber, I believe the pistons are 13-4. They are starting to seperate from the East now being 3.5 games ahead of the second place team. It seems to me that C-Webb was a great fit, making good passes and nice shots. Do you think the Pistons will go far in the playoffs and if so, how far will they go. I feel that they can go to the NBA Championship against the Mavericks, and hopefully win the Championship, but Dallas is having on heck of a season, but remember, Pistons were in that position last year and we all know how that ended up. Anyway, how will the PIstons do in the playoffs?

Webber is a nice regular season player but the guy doesn't show up in the playoffs and isn't even the player he once was
The pistons will lose in the first round if the Heat get the 8 seed and Wade plays
otherwise they will not last past the semis, They will miss big Ben's presence in the playoffs and Webber has never meant much

No Kobe You are Wrong!!! He's playing great with the Pistons. He fits great in the Piston's system and is a lot better than Nazr Mohhammed. Piston should roll thru all those other trashy teams in the East, but I have the Suns beating them in the Finals. (Kurt Thomas is coming off the injured list) Also, if the Spurs can win an NBA Championship with Nazr Mohammed, why can't the Pistons win with Webber? Pistons should be able to put up a fight if they make the finals.

All of you guys just Doubt the Pistons. So what if the mavericks are having the best season. the Pistons ran out of gas in the playoffs becuz of a tough regular season push. The Pistons are underdogs now, just like they were in 2003-2004 season when they kilt the lakers. and even if miami was healthy, Detroit will still be killing them because Webber can shoot 3s. Ben never shot a sinlge 3.

Good point on Dallas. I think Detroit will go to the NBA Finals but being realistic, I don't see any team from the east defeating Dallas this year. Miami aren't playing well at all and Wade's off for 6 weeks. In the West Dallas has competition with Phoenix going in with the best point guard in the NBA and San Antonio being a constant threat along with Houston and even the Kobe-powered Lakers. Anyway, Detroit is the best team in the east and should be in the Finals.

They will make it to the finals, with Wade out for who knows how long, i seriously doubt the Heat will even make the playoffs, the only matchup i dont like for the playoffs before the finals for Detroit is Washington if they can get it together. Detroit seems to have problems with them, specially this year. I def would not like to play Dallas in the Finals, we match up well with them, Sheed always covers Dirk tight and plays better against him. There isnt a PG in the league that can stop Chauncey from backing him down, hes just to strong, and our D is just as good this year, actually better, than last year. But i think i would rather play the Suns than Dallas, with the way Dallas is playing so far this year

With D-Wade out for awhile, the Pistons should win the East. The Wizards play no defense and the Cavs need a second impact player. Detroit will lose in the finals to Dallas.

All the way. I feel like he's always been on the Pistons and they're playing easily the best in the east. I agree the Mavs are playing GREAT, Pistons Mavs would be an unbelivible matchup for the finals

i do no longer think of they get any further than without him except he performs PF and Sheed is going to C. If sheed is at C, then he can draw the huge guy out and depart webber together with his defender. Webber shoots a low % by means of fact he's have been given no elevate anymore and has various difficulty getting consumer-friendly seems. by means of fact Sheed is a 3pt possibility, his defender has to flow out and take care of him. Sheed is likewise an inch taller than Cwebb and has lots extra elevate, so he incredibly ought to be taking part in the midsection spot. that's certainly the only way that cwebb could nicely be an effective scorer on Detroit.

they will end up with home court in the east, and i think they will make the finals before being handily beaten by either dallas or phoenix...they still play great team defense even without wallace, and webber has managed to accept his role as a secondary player, so all is well right now...however, this team is outclassed by the cream of the western conference crop
