It comes from our *will* - the will to do the right, the honest, the decent, or the respectful thing, simply because it is the right, the honest, the decent, and the respectful thing to do - or to act in such a way as to advance personal pleasure, material seeking, pride, ego, or status, no matter what it does to anyone else|

The worst evil-doer is the one who deceives others in pretending that he is interested in the good so that he can gain an advantage from him| That is what *hypocrisy* is|

Evil consists in precisely this: the good is known, then sentence is passed on it, and it is executed because it stands in the way of something that that person wants|

Value of good or bad is relative. What is acceptable by majority of people as good is good or other wise. What is good for some people is bad for others and vice versa. So, thinking or doing good things or bad things depends on the circustances and the environment in one situated. It is nothing to do with heart.

Good and Bad are taught by parents, teachers, neighbours, friends, environment and so on. Heart comes next. Greed and Lust are two major evils make a person bad. In general everyone is a combination of good and bad. If someone says he is always good he is hiding from him/herself. Hence once enlightened thro' proper teaching and preaching one should always listen to his/her heart to be good to the maximum possible. When someone wants to be good always he/she will face lot of hurdles. Here come sustenance and courage. If succeeded they are called prophets of GOD.

No! It come from our past experiences driven by our indoctrination into the world. If we live with ethical people we tend to carry those values.

We get our sense of right and wrong from the community of which we live. We tend to make bad those things that are different from our own experiences.
