Lovely personality and kind hearted. Just seems to have removed himself from life. 6'+ and 122kg. Very conscious of weight but won't do anything about it. I know he loves me to bits but can't talk about anything but games and fantasy. Try another conversation he will not respond. Exceptionally intelligent but can't see the point in work of any kind be it school, helping around home or outside the home. He has nice bunch of friends at school and is highly regarded at judo club.. Have tried talking & writing letters to him but nothing seems to get a change in behaviour. Lately his lies and stealing have come between him, sister and her boyfriend who is best friend and 'brother' to him. I hate to see deterioration in that relationship because it is very important to son. B'friend has tried talking to him as well but gets nowhere either. Father not interested and never will be. Please help.

It could be just a phase . tough love sometimes does wonders. sometimes a change in atmosphere works . At 15 the boys minds go wonky .
No need in getting mad at him (hahahaha) but gentile persuasion or guidance will often do all that can be done.

This age relishes challenges. Find some one who can put a challenge before him to cut the extra sixty kilos, five at a time, and that will keep him engaged for a year.Whatever little effort he makes should be recognised and praised , but stop nagging with advice, which is the last thing an adolescent wants to hear.Totally stop the criticism band. Speak only when you have some thing nice to tell him. He will turn around in the next one year. With a weight of 122 kilos , his food needs are not that of the other normal members of the house.Don't let him feel guilty about eating at his own home.If it strains the family budget , casually mention it to him with no rancour. As the weight comes down, his food demand will also go down

Also challenge his fantacy to create some tool by which to reduce the work in a home or increase the efficiency of a domestic tool etc.You may be surprised to find that he might already be on some such fantacy thoughts!

Sounds like he either needs to have his computer taken away for a week or two, or possibly even some counseling to find out what is going on in his head. Take care.

TAKE THE DAMN COMPUTER AWAY FROM HIM!!!!! TELL HIM HE EITHER DOES HIS HOMEWORK & BRINGS UP HIS GRADES OR THE COMPUTER GETS SOLD!!!!
Take him to see a psycologist. High intelligence can lead to depression & suicide because they do get bored & if they have nothing that challenges them it gets worse. But he also can't go through life living in a fantasy or with the motivation of a slug either....

I had dinner with Robin Hood because of the fact i became into satisfied and it became into the worst day of my existence. no longer as humorous as some solutions there, yet super question xD EDIT: My boyfriend have been given I had dinner with Robin Hood because of the fact he's warm and he did no longer call me back. And my buddy (male) have been given this: I had sushi with Edward Cullen because of the fact we've been on the action pictures and he married me. lots win xD

I would seriously take the things he likes away, and say "when your grades come up and you stop doing bad things, you can get them back" that's what my mom did, I hated it but my grades came up and I stopped drinking, smoking and doing other things I shouldn't have been doing in the first place.
