One thing that is helpful is either hold weights and jump with them or attach weights to your legs and then jump with them. Do a lot of those and you should be able to see an increase with your jump, but make sure the weights are of good weight, not little weak weights cause then it won't help at all. Attach ankle weights to your ankles and then run up stairs witht them on. Squats is also a really good way to increase jumping ablility. Also a way to jump higher is rid any excess weight. This may be stopping you from getting your maximum weight. Walk on your toes all day, you might feel a burning in your calf, but that's normal. Also take a chair about as high as your knees and try to jump on it without bending your knees, but make sure you dont do too much, only 10 sets per round, and make sure you dont hurt yourself on a non-sturdy chair or surface.
Hope these tips helped you!

I think the best thing to do is do some jumping jacks which can strengthen your calf muscles which enable you to jump higher. You can also do squats and straight jumps. That's what I started to do about 3 months ago and I started jumping higher and now I can reach the rim. I'm a female, 14 and 5"3. Good luck to you in your tournament!

Most effective would be to find box you can run and jump off of and jump up again. This is a plyometric exercise and will help with explosion upwards, BUT it does cause a lot of pressure to joints, so be warned. Jumproping will help with your speed and calf strength as well. If you have access to a weightroom, I hear doing the "hang clean" (the power clean but you don't ever put the weight down) will also help your explosiveness and power.

Should have told us more details about yourself. There are many ways of getting an higher jump for free.Mostly they involve using your body.Just jump, knees up to your chest.Do this 10 times, then strech your legs, then jump 10 times again.Do this as much as you can,but not exhausting yourself .You can also run or sprint. That helps too.Do situps .And jump as eficiently as you can, using your feet and your arms to get a boost.

All i can think of is exercises to strengthen your leg muscles and ancle muscles. Im a girl so i dont really knwo much about basketball but doing those exercises really helped with my cheerleading jumps. if that helps. hopefully it does :] Try squats, dips, and standing ups traight crossing your arms and just like kinda bouncing like 500 times. it sounds like a lot but it really helped my jumps. Or you can just try jumping a lot. that strenghtens on its own. good luck
