DO I NEED TO SEND HER CLINTON & STACEY?...LOL she works out and has a hard bod but her style ruins all that!

the sad sad truth is that the dress of the 80s is coming back into style. only this time they are not calling it retro like they did with the 702 look. people actually think that it is the first time the perms and leggings and all that have been thought of. it started with the mini skirt coming back and has just escalated from there. if you walk into any of the high fashion for cheap stores like "Rave" it is everywhere. i am only in my late 20s but i still remember the 80s. and every time i see the clothes from my childhood on some kid now i shudder. it is a scary trend.

I know what you mean, my best friend does the same thing. She just doesn't dress the 80's but she also wears clothes that show her boobs, and her crack with a thong. They just want attention they may have not got enough when they were young. But I would rather dress classier than slutty.

What ever clothing you wear is how people look at you. An will be the way of life for you. She dresses like that an the only men she gets is REDNECKS OR BUM'S.

Lol better to dress like the 80s than to be 40 and dressing like 18.

If the way a person dresses makes them feel good; what business is it of anyone else to critisize? Perhaps she doesn't like the way you dress, either. Does it matter to you what others think about how you dress? Would it make a difference if someone told you that the way you dress is totally inappropriate? Lighten up. It's supposed to be a 'free' country, after all. And dressing the way you like is freedom, too.

For 40 year olds, to dress like they are 80 years old, or from the 1980s?

What do you care? As long as she is having fun, and not bothering anyone else what difference does it make? Take a look at photo's of yourself 15 years ago. Many dress "different" at some time in their life. Apparenlty the 80's were fun for some folks!

I don't know, but I can tell you my mom and her sister are the same way. Maybe because they were in high school in the 80s and got all the hot guys by dressing in neon and styling their hair to the ceiling they think that it will still work!

Because getting older isn't for wimps, and some people don't want to admit that they're getting older. Look at how Madonna acts when she's almost pushing 50. Uhh she is 50 isn't she?

Some people dress like that, etc. because they didn't get to do it when they were younger, and they are trying to play "catch up".

My Mom's 44,and she dresses normally. Not all hip like I do,since I'm 14. But not her time style either. You know,60's,70's,nor early 80's.

What kind of a friend are you? You're talking about her (behind her back) and tell us that she is, in a way, stupid because she doesn't know how to dress. I'm happy that you're not my friend.
Anyway, why don't you tell her what you think? Teach her how to dress if you think that she doesn't know how. And she is 50+, do you want her to look like a cheap woman?
