So I've had my period for only three days now, but the PMS has been going on for almost two weeks now. I'm crying at the drop of a dime; headaches and backaches constant while my uterus feels like it's being used as a punching bag! AH! Are there any other females out there that are having a hard time with PMS?

you might want to check out this with your doctor. Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a diagnosis used to indicate serious premenstrual distress with associated deterioration in functioning. PMDD is characterized by depressed or labile mood, anxiety, irritability, anger, and other symptoms occurring exclusively during the 2 weeks preceding menses. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV), the symptoms must be severe enough to interfere with occupational and social functioning, as opposed to the more common premenstrual syndrome (PMS). PMDD is a severely distressing and disabling condition that requires treatment.

I have been diagnosed just recently. They put you on an anti depressent. I chose not to go this route since I already take enough medication. But it's worth a try.

I know how you feel. About 10 days before period, I get crabby, moody, tired, emotional, etc. During that time you need to reduce your carb intake and up your protein intake. Makes a huge difference.

I know how you are feeling. Your best bet is to start on daily birth control pills. I suggest Mircette. It is well known for decreasing the symptoms of PMS.

Been there. My bloodcount was so low I was in severe trouble. Please see your GYN. There are many things that can be done to make you feel better. Worst case scenerio is a hysterectomy. That's what I did nad it made all the difference in the world. Wish I had done it sooner.
