i want to know if i can have 2 differnt hard drives in one computers and like pick one every start up of something like that?

Yes. You should be able to have up to four of them on the IDE ports, each with a different (or same) OS installed. Some BIOSes allow you to define that you want to choose which system to boot from. If yours doesn't have that, then you should be able to stop the boot process and select which device to boot from.

Actually the one with the operating system on it must boot first, and then go from there, if you try to boot a drive that has no OS installed, it won't boot.... Good Luck
