I don't get obsessed with people or things because I know that nobody and nothing lasts forever.
Why do I get obsessed with someone or something that is only temporarily. Life itself is a transit. I am here just for a period of time and so are other people and things.
Nobody and nothing is more important than me.We are all given equal opportunities so let's take advantage of each moment of our lives instead of wasting it on someone or something in a destructive way.
If you love someone or something way too much, there is big chance that you'll end up feeling obsessed with them; and when you are obsessed with them you don't want to lose them. In case you do, there is a risk that you won't be able to live your life without them and this is not fair to you because your life belongs to you and not to them. Your life is more important to you.
Who is Leonardo Dicaprio anyway? OK, with all my respect to him, a celebrity, a handsome young man etc., but he can't be the most handsome man on earth. There is no best man or woman on earth. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, you know. Don't be dragged out by a crush, a fantasy, a fairy tale.
Wake up! Life is about a lot more than getting obsessed by someone or something. Besides, I don't think anybody would like to be obsessed by anybody else, not even God! Leonardo is a movie star. He is there to entertain you and not to make you ill. He's got his own life and you've got yours.
You must take care of yourself and get rid of all sorts of obsessions. I think obsession is a disease. It makes you sick, crazy, subjective, irrealistic, and even shocked and depressed. I heard of people who commited suicide or crimes because of their obsessions with someone or something.
Here is my advice to you : at the point when you feel you love someone too much, try to divert your love to someone else. Otherwise, the day you lose that person, you will suffer too much, maybe even, to the extend that you won't be able to stand.
Open your eyes and you will see that there are many other people around you who need love and deserve to be loved. Don't let your love go abstract, make it real. Learn how to divert it and disperse it instead of keeping it like a dust in the air. Give your love to someone in need. Leonardo Dicaprio maybe does't need it, he's got plenty already.

It depends how old you are. If you are young its pretty normal. If you are over 20, I'd seek some help.
