actually i have a nextel i870 and its not that bad. i havent had any problems with anything. i got that phone when it first came out. I have good service everywhere i go. Honestly though... that phone is over-rated. I dont care for the sidekick either because i know several people with it and I just wasnt crazy for it. The i870 comes with a really small memory card from the factory. If you want to use it for music storage, which is its main purpose, it can hold about 3 or 4 songs of average length. The upgrade memory card is really inexpensive at places like Wal*mart or K-mart. and you could get the really big memory card that could hold music for a little over an hour's worth of playing. In the end i am not thrilled about my nextel phone. the camera has really good picture resolutions and the flash is really bright. I"m not saying go with the sidekick like i said because i dont really care for it. Honestly i would agree with those that said go with cingular(at&t) its better, phones are more reasonable and they are also nicer. That nextel phone isnt that light. its alot heavier that alot of other cell-phones out there.
good luck with your decision.

Okay. Ive worked for both companys and have sold phones for over seven years. T-Mobile has the smallest network by far out of all major North American Companies. Sprint has better coverage (which is nextell.) Yet they both suck compared to the coverage of Verizon and Cingular. Then between the two Verizon has an acient cdma Network. So I say choose Cingular(Which is AT&T now.) But it seems that you really care just about the phones. So if you go for cingular I would suggest to you the Cingular 8125 or 8525. They are the ones that will most closely match the Sidekick.

Nextel Spring you'll be sorry to ever sign with them. Nothing but a joke for service and customer service. Plus many Nextels get hacked with spam that you get charged for.
T-mobile no clue as I never have had them but all that have had sidekicks that I know have gotten rid of them. So that might say something.
I was with Verizon, loved them, then tried others, hated them all, I am back with Verizon and I have zero issues, zero dropped calls and I have antenna almost anywhere I go....can't say the others can say that. My sprint wouldn't even work in my house, its that cheap.

I am going to get T mobile, to get the Razr. I would say hell no to Nextel since Sprint came along. My aunt had Sprint and she didn't had a good experience with it. Go for T Mobile.

well... i don't know much about t-mobile so i can't say any...
but if you're gonna go with nextel... you better know your stuff well... because since they're with sprint i'm guessing they get same customer service... i had sprint for about 5 years now, i have no problem with their plans and what not... but their customer service (call center) is a JOKE.... let's just say you better know your "stuff" otherwise those dumb sprint customer rep will screw you over big time, i'm not sure if they're jus playing dumb or they dont actually know what they're talking about, hell i know more about sprint then they do! (that's why if you can find a loop hole you can actually take a advantage of them :P )

well i can tell that I had t-mobile and they sucked. I live in a suburban area and i still had shitty reception. And their customer service was a joke. They wouldnt even upgrade our phones when weve had them for like 2.5 years. We switched to cingular, never have a problem best network out there.

all i can say is i had a lot of problems with nextel and if u change anything with your plan you get a new 2 year service agreement. Even if its by trading in ur phone for an upgrade. Trust me go with T moble but US CELLULAR has the greates deals--check them out please.
