Honestly, you should wear simple, darker, heavy weight tee-shirts. Look on ebay for old shirts, or just wear college shirts or something. Levis are going to be back in fashion soon, go for 501's. Wear cool shoes. shirts on ebay are the coolest way to be vintage, and they are usually cheap too. If they are old, wash them a few times, and make a hole or two if you want.

i think if you want to follow the vintage trend that's nice and causual, you should check out 'urban outfitters'. if the styles don't suit you, then you can always go with your head and create something new and different for yourself.

just wear what you feel comfy in. If you wanna go wear Hollister, AE, and Abercrombie, go ahead. If you don't like it, then find something you do like. Ps...just cuz ppl wear hollister and A&F doesn't exactly mean their preppy..just so ya know...GOod Luck!
