It actually came from my big sister back in high school after a long night of drinking. She told me, "Never stagger in public". Great advice. And I never have. I walk upright until I get home then I can collapse on the bed and let the stars take over. Haha I believe it is a perfect metaphor for life. Kinda like never let em see you squirm or cry. Or watch out! the vultures will be close at hand,.

The best advice my mother gave me was: stand up for yourself and what is right, even if your knees shake and your voice trembles. My personal favorite: Get married soon because I want grandchildren...lol.

my mom passed away when i was 17, and i remember she asked me to finish my studies by hook or by crook (then i failed to do it)and no matter what dont let other people step on you. she is a strong woman i shld say and that i think she wants me to follow.
