I'm either preferring that or a Chevy Avalanche. Which would be safer/better performance?

It's for my 16th birthday.

Neither. Speaking from experience the mustang is too much power for a new driver. You would wreck it in a month. The Avalanche, same thing, its too big for a new driver. Don't bother with a new car for your first. Go with a slightly used domestic (reliable and less expensive to repair) I reccommend a Chevy Cavaleir.

Plus, with either of those other cars your insurance will be through the roof!

The most important thing to remember is that you want to make many more birthdays so be careful when you choose a new car. The Mustang GT is way too much car for a new driver and the
V-6 Mustang is pretty fast too. If you are getting a new car for the 16th I would think about a Super Safe Four Cylinder Car that has Air Bag protection all around and has a Five Start Crash Test Rating for your safety. Your new car will only go as fast as YOU push it. Take many test drives so you can check out which one is easiest to see out of and to maneuver/park etc. Avalanche is pretty big.

I'd say no. It's too powerful. But it's up to you and your parents to decide. Also the insurance to cover you will be really expensive.

no, you'll more than likely wreck it. But that's any car you'll get. Gas is high, just make sure you have $ for gas.
