When a girl ovluates, an egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tubes. From there, the egg travels through the tube into the uterus. A girl is very fertile when she is ovulating. If the egg is fertilized by a man's sperm, it will attempt to impant in the uterus, resulting in pregnancy. If the egg is not fertized or fails to impant, a girl will get her period.
