You need to bleed all 4 brakes. It's kinda like it sounds. You need to start at the rear of your car. Jack up the car on one side, open the screw on the brake line, have someone hit the brake and close the screw while someone is holding the brake. Repeat on the other rear brake and work your way forward. When your done remember to refill your brake fluid. Just make sure you don't run out of brake fluid while your bleeding the brakes, otherwise you'll have to repeat the whole procedure. Remember air compresses less than liquid. That means your brakes lines will be less effective ( if effective at all) with air in them.

Go to a parts store and get a bleeder kit. Basically you disconnect the brake line from the master cylinder, attach the bleeder hose to the master cylinder, pump the brakes until you get no air in cylinder. Then do the other brake line.

if it's still on the car or truck take the lines off and hold your fingers over the holes and have someone pump the brake pedal slowly until you get pure fluid out then put the lines back on and bleed the rest of your brakes
If you have it off the car or truck it's basically the same except you can do it by yourself just place it in a vise if you have one and using a screwdriver or something with a good handle on it push the piston with one hand while covering the holes with the other hand until you are getting pure clear brake fluid out and then install it on your vehicle and tighten the brake lines and then bleed the rest of your brakes
