When its true love, no honestly it cannot. I fell in love with my last g/f over and over again without her doing anything to make it happen. Now that she has been gone for five months, I am still falling for her with every memory that plays back in my mind. You can push the feelings down, hide them, or lie to yourself and try to believe that you don't still love someone but it will always comes to the surface. That's part of why losing someone you love hard, the fall when its true is just endless.

That's a really hard question to answer. But, hopefully I can help you a bit. I got married, thought I was with the love of my life, well it didnt work out, we were married 2 months, and as soon as we split up, I was like what the hell, why didn't that work. Sometimes after you've exited as you may call it a bad relationship, or have been heart broken, you go into a deep depression and you believe that theres just no one out there perfect for you. I don't believe that everyone has a one and only true soulmate, well I believe it in a sense, but theres always someone out their better for you. Hope that helps you a bit.

No, maybe a guy or girl may leave you, but love will never leave you. Love will come and go, and when you find the right person it'll stick. One moment you're head over heels for....'Brad' because of his charm, smarts and the fact he knows you so well and you can't but just love verything about him. The next minute he dumps you and you don't you'll ever feel the same about anyone else. You'll never anyone else the same but you will love again. because than you'll find 'Joe'. The guy who just gives you a great feeling even from his voice, eyes, and smile. the guy you're willing to risk life and limb for...or just limb....one limb....or life I guess....but no, no matter what you cannot decide who your heart chooses because technically you're the one who chose them and you can't help it because in a technical way you cannot stop what you choose but you can choose what you choose....that doesn't make sense does it....anyway, NO

Ahah no offense, but your heart never actually falls in love. Love is just an emotion, and your heart is an organ that helps you survive. But, i think you can stop falling in love because you got hurt so many times and you are just afraid, but your heart can't stop falling in love =)

Truth be told!That's a BIG NO!Your heart does what your brain tells it to do.With out your brain your heart is an unused organ.I know sometimes when you feel like your heart has been broken,it's really your brain re-playing everything you had just been through.So therefore you can choose to hurt or you can choose to make your brain tell your heart your really not hurting.

your heart can stop beating and can even slow down but for it to lose that feeling of being in love i doubt it will hurt but pending on the person and the time the heart beat tells it all

No. Even when you think you can't love anymore, some special person will come into your life and you will get those feels. You might want to hide those feels so you won't get hurt, but they will be there.
