im trying to back up some files to a cd but when i try to open up the cd drive it says e: is not accesible incorrect function what do i do is there any other way to save the files? i do not have a floppy disk drive

try burning them using nero 6

It seems to me you are having a problem with the media you are using. If you have saved and erase information from the CD you are now attempting to save the data to, you could face potential problems.
First, try using a new CD. If that fails, use a flash drive to backup the data and be certain to defrag that hard drive soon.

well you should have some sort of cd burning software and if you do then you can just click on "make a data disk" and then you just do it that way. but if you dont you can try and just to do drag and drop the files in the e: drive manualy

or you can try going to www.download.com and download some free software to help you

Burning back up.

Some times the files are protected you need to move in properties of the files.

for burn your files choose the option Data Look up for get good cd empty and lenght don't limited capacity.

or reinstal your program of find for othe.

Use some program burn protected files.

Do you have a USB Port on the Laptop, if so, get a 1 Gb Flash Drive and save to that. Good luck

i dont know the specs, so just go out to the local electronics store, and get a flash drive. They're really reliable and usually hold more than cds, they're also pretty cheap. Just connect it to your usb port in your computer and - whola! (don't know if I spelled that right)

Either the media or the Drive is not functioning Correctly, check both
