why will people only pay attention to the actressess' dress instead of the actors in a huge award ceremony?

For me the first thing I look at is fashion right.
Obviously the dresses because
1) Guys only wear suits, unless they decide to show up crazy
2) To see what type of flavor, patterns are being worn this year.
3) Possibly guys do, because women at these events sometimes appear in something almost completely see through.
4) Actressess usually more flashy or colorful...

Because women are more vain then men,usually they try to shock the audiences by either exposing themselves more or wear something so outrageous that the media will focus on them only,lately men are starting to play the same game by going with a tuxedo top and wear raggedy jeans to get notice,it's kind of funny,they want to become actors or actresses to be able to afford the good things,and when they get there they dress and act worse than when they were not in the money

lol cuz how many suits can a guy show off? There are only so many times you can look a a tux and say, "wow. that man is sexy in that!"
For an actress, you can look at her dress and compare it to the last one she wore the previous year, the color of the dress to a similar one another actress is wearing..you can look at the designer name..the possibilities are endless for those who follow what they wear to awards.

Because in Hollywood you are presenting an image. Fashion goes hand in hand with your presentation. People are interested in seeing what you have on because we have been conditioned to think that image is everything. Its about beauty and sex, no one really cares if you gave an Oscar worthy performance if you fat, out of shape and in a low end designer game. If you wear Cavalli over Claibourne, you are worthy of attention.

Well personally,it's more entertaining for me to watch the actresses's dresses because usually actors only have suits,suits,and more suits. They all kinda look the same to me..so unless there's someone wearing something totally different,it's dresses.........
