The amount of fat covering your body may be a contributing factor if you tend to bruise easily. If you do not have an adequate layer of body fat, then bruises will sometimes appear with the slightest knock. This is one of the reasons why some elderly people and children bruise easily. They may not have adequate fat on their arms and legs and may tend to bruise easily in these areas.

Bruising is not abnormal. In some cases, you may bruise easily for no apparent reason from time to time. The colors of a bruise can sometimes look frightening, but they depend on the severity of the injury. If you experience any bruising that seems unusual, consult a doctor. Bruising can sometimes be a symptom of other illness, such as an irregularity in the liver or the blood clotting mechanism.

If you bruise easily due to accidental or sports-related injuries, it is best to limit the amount of bleeding that occurs. This can be achieved simply by applying an ice pack to the area. If you have no ice available, simply take a bag of frozen vegetables from the freezer and apply it to the bruise.

It could be ANYTHING! Did the doctors tell u thats what it was, a brain tumor. I think u need to relax, which is easier said than done. You should really just calm down, do some yoga if u must and do something to occupy ur mind. I know, once again, this is all easier said than done. But u have to calm down. Panic attacks will get u now where. Trust me I'm having them now as I am in a similar situation. I found a lump in my neck and I'm VERY worried that its the big "C". All I can do is wait, and keep in touch with my doctors as much as possible. Same thing goes for you too. Have u ever tried getting a second opinion from a different doctor? What about getting a CT scan? Doctors would have oredered that if they thought it was serious. You need to relax. So do I...

Please see a physician, even if you have to go to a free clinic. Those are two signs of diabetes, but there could be other causes (other than diabetes). Check out a website like the American Diabetes Association for more information; I'm sure they have a checklist of symptoms there. This doesn't sound like something I would advise treating on your own.

You may have an iron deficiency. Consider a multiple vitamin for a few months & see what happens.

If you haven't already done so, you must tell your doctor about it. It could be due to some condition that needs treatment. I know someone who was diagnosed with lupus because their doctor noticed that this was happening.
