I was really lucky and got pregnant on the first try!

My husband and I have been married for 2 years, and I only spent about 5 months of that time on birth control.

We got pregnant after the first 5 months of marriage and miscarried at 8 weeks. After that, it was more than a year before we finally got pregnant again (I'm at 19 weeks now).

We never really made a conscious effort to get pregnant, but we weren't exactly avoiding it either... I was really surprised that conceiving isn't as easy as all those teen moms make it look like!

I'm a triplet, so I thought I'd be getting pregnant with ease!

I got pregnant the first month of trying with both my kids. My mom took about 8 months after going off the pill. My stepmother took about 2-2 1/2 years with each.

It took me 6 yrs to have a successful pregnancy. Had 2 miscarriages along the way. One in 12/96 another in 12/98 and then success in 10/2001. And then 5 yrs later.. NOW.. I am pregnant again with #2 I am 31wks and 3days along. So it can take any amount of time. Good luck and wish much success for you and Hubby!

After getting off the pill, we tried and hoped for success the first month. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I thought it wasn't going to happen any time soon, but we kept trying and surprisingly we got it the second month!! I definitely didn't expect it! My advice is to be intimate ATLEAST every other day. That will increase your chance. Then laying horizontal for atleast 5 minutes or more after will help the sperm in the right direction! GOOD LUCK!! I know how it feels to want it soo bad!! :)

My first pregnancy we were together for almost a year, I had been on the pill for three years that time... it had to have been 6 months into the relationship...Keep in mind that I was on the pill and took it like clock work every single day at the same time every day...

My second pregnancy I was off the pill when we first got married...started back on it when we started discussing not wanting kids at that point in time...was on the pill for about two years when I got pregnant again....took it every single day like clockwork at the very same time...

Just have sex when time come it come and you can be pregnant.. It would be surprise when you find out you are pregnant... And everyone is different.. So you should not worry.. start taking the pre-natal or kids vitamins so help you start... I had miscarrige in april of last year and we start to plan again in sept but i was having abnormal period now i am Pregnant but scary it would happen again...

Just remember just have sex and when come time and you know are two weeks late then you are pregnant... but you shouldnot be stress.. I was stress too..
just enjoy the fun in bed now.. But remember to keep clean..... And sperm stay inside of you for at less 24 hours to 3 days.. not sure 3 days is true.. but 24 is correct...
When time come it time to have baby... If youstart feel back pain in back then you maybe are pregnant.. but you should not worry.. WHen it come it comes

Reproductive biology is a wonderful and weird thing.

You could engage in unprotected sex with multiple partners every day of your life from onset of menarche to menopause, and never become pregnant.

You could engage in unprotected sex with one partner once a year from 13 to 65, and become pregnant EACH TIME you had sex.

Pure probability...don'cha love statistics? ;)

Incidentally, while your *most* fertile time is the day of ovulation, during the 4-5 days to either side of said day, you are almost as likely to conceive as on the day in question. Semen can survive for several days in your reproductive tract.

If it happens, it happens...if it doesn't, at least you had fun practicing!

Also, if it reaches the point where you are genuinely concerned, send hubby to the doctor first, since it's easier for him to be tested than you, even if you aren't allowed to help him manually express his test sample. Many problems that could come up are also easier to fix than most of the problems that could come up on your side of the equation.

Oh, incidentally, since you're trying for a 9 month package, if he isn't yet, put the hubby in boxers only. Briefs keep the scrotum next to the body, where dear hubby's body heat kills, weakens, or otherwise damages his semen. If he "hangs free" in a pair of boxers, his package is (generally) kept cooler, and that increases the amount and quality of his spermatazoa in the semen sample.

I tried for three months with my first and was surprised with my second.
I used the ovulation calculator on www.babycenter.com to help figure out when was a good time to get pregnant.
Best of luck!!!!!
