My oldest cat who is 13 came in to the root cellar of the house that we were staying in when we visited Newfoundland Canada she was just a kitten and we kept her and she rode all the way across Canada to Chilliwack, BC in the backseat of our car happy as a clam, My dog who is 10 I got her at a pet store when she was 8 weeks old, also my 10 year old Siamese I started petting her and couldn't put her back in the cage unfortunately I couldn't afford both her and her litter-mate but she is the best Christmas present I've ever bought myself, and my almost 2 year old Siamese I found him or I should say he found me when I was walking my dog late one spring evening and nobody claimed him and he was to cute to give away and we love them all to bits.

I have a few pets, but 1 was rescued. A friend of mine decided she had to have a rabbit , so she got one. I went to her house a few weeks later and I asked her if she got her rabbit yet, and she said yes, she's in the back room. I went to look at her and I found this poor rabbit in a DISGUSTING cage (she hadnt cleaned it since she got it, about a month prior) she had no food, and no water. I took her out of her cage and held her for a while, then put her back, and got her some water. I looked for food but couldnt find any. (I found out later that she had been out of food for about a week, and they were just feeding her carrots). My friend also informed me that that was the first time she had been taken out of her cage since they got her. (the cage was way too small for a rabbit).

I went back to my friends house again a week later, and once again, I found this rabbit in the same gross cage, no food, and out of water, again.

My friend said she didnt have time to do anything with this rabbit, and asked if I wanted her. I said yes and I just planned on dropping her off at the humane society. I took her home and fell in love. This was about 2 years ago, I still have her. Of course now she's spoiled rotten and has an attitude, but I still love her.

My older cat Kiki came with my fiance. The newest addition is Skeeter and we rescued him his brother and his mother from the cold Michigan winter. One of my neighbors who hates cats now(bipolar) threw them out into the cold. The kittens were only about 5 weeks old and mama was pregnant again. They all lived in the bathroom until we could find homes for them. the mom and the little gray Kittie went to separate homes and we kept the little white one who now looks like a Himalayan/Siamese gorgeous really. It just peeves me off that there are people out there that throw their animals away when they are through w/ them. I always help the throw away cats before they die.
