is it harder to be prettier or uglier?

i was having a discussion with a friend, and she says its harder to be prettier cus guys won't leave you alone. i say its harder to be ugly cus guys don't give you the time of day. so who do you think is right?

its like a fact the ugly people have to work twice as hard in life then pretty people and what kind of a punk @ss complaint is "woe is me, i get all this unwanted attention cause people think im hot" boo fuggin' hoo. your friend needs to shut the fug up and enjoy being blessed.

It is much much harder to be ugly than very pretty. No one even looks at you when you are ugly. Shallow Hal showed this fairly well. When you are pretty, people will do things for your (both men and women) much more readily. You will command attention at events or meetings more readily. The only draw back if it the pretty person relies too much on their looks, because then they won't be taken seriously.

i guess it would be harder to be prettier considering you have to keep up your appearance all the time and in some cases guys are all over you, but then again it might be hard to be ugly because you have to live with fact that guys wont pay attention to you, so I'm with you on this one, ugly is harder...

Physically I'd definitely fall more in the "uglier" category and I don't think it's that hard. All it takes is giving up on ever meeting someone that can look beyond the physical, any chance at relationships, etc.

anyone who says that being pretty is harder, CLEARLY does not know what it is like to be ugly. it is ten times harder being unattractive because you either get ignored, or talked behind your back.

Guys (at my age: middle school) are just horny, crazed psycopaths who want a stick thin girl that they can brag about to their friends. but god forbid that you had a healthy weight and weren't anorexic! cause then you couldn't get a guy even if you wanted to.

Girls at my age are very cat-like. and by that i mean they have their claws out. hearing the horrible gossip that some of them say sickens me. i have heard them talk about my friends, and nothing hurts more than knowing that someone doesn't like your friends.

One could argue that that pretty girls get maniac attention from guys and jealous attention from girls, but what is worse? a lot of attention, or none at all?

it's harder to be prettier because people will always try to compete with you and also try to harm you because of jealousy like throwing acid on your face and what not.Girls will always be thinking your trying to steal their man and the whole nine yards.
but people who think they are not pretty really are they just need a break through and once they do,they'll wanna go back to where they stared because being cute isn't always peaches and cream

but when you look at it ugly people are the ones that are more likely to be virgins than cute people

look at the type of women some men marry? they don't always look like beyonce.

It's harder to be purposefly uglier because you're always pressured by seeing others to improve your looks. It's the human way.

Always better to be attractive. People will still bother you and not leave you alone the only difference is one way they are flirting with you and the other way they are making fun of you. We live in a shallow world.

Prettier. Life is better to have peace. By the way, ugly can get one crowd. pretty can get two crowds. which is often not a good thing.

I think the guys that only go after pretty girls are ugly. I'm gay and I think I'm ok looking. If they cant see that eff them. Got no patience to work for it.
