I've got four laptops (one from work, one for my daughter, and two older ones I just keep around for various purposes) and three desktops; one that my wife and I use, one for the kids, and another as a test machine. I have a NAS device with two 360gb drives for backups and shared storage. Two unused computers are sitting lonely in the garage.
It's not that I like them so much, it's more that I need to segregate uses.

We have 3 computers in the house.
I have a desktop and a laptop in my room, my brother has a desktop in his, and my grandma has an old desktop in the living room for playing solitaire.
Only 3 are hooked up to the net though.

1 computer for playing games
1 laptop that I use for business
Know matter how many computers you have you must have a good backup system

i have 1 computer,but some people might have more than 1 so that way the other people in the house won't have to wait there turn to use the computer.

I have two in my house, one only has internet though we still havent got the chance to set up the other one that its just in the study downstairs .. and my laptop i used for college

I have one for the video security system . One for Internet research , email.... One for bookkeeping . Two for auto engine diagnostics . one for the power plant . three for machine shop equipment . Two for training . in the process of building three more for redundancy.
All this for my home and home workshop.
