PS3, because it's more than just a console. it's a whole entertainment center just for under $599. the games are coming out already (VF5, MOTORSTORM, ARMORED CORE 4, MGS4, DEVIL MAY CRY 4, LAIR, etc) and there is a whole lot more by the end of the year. i do not recomend the Wii, since their games look like it's meant for kids under 5yrs of age and swinging a remote is just retarted. i respect the XBOX360, but i think once developers take full advantage of the blu-ray technology(like 50gig space per disc). then the "exclusive" games for the PS3 are going to be the best all around.
PS: Wii=weak!!!!

Haha, this is a difficult question to answer.
Some people are complete fanboys, but I am not so I will give you an honest answer.
I, personally prefer the PS3...
1) It has great graphics(1080p....if you know what that is)
2)Free, great, lag-free online play
3)Motion-sensing controller
4)Really fun downloadable games
5)AMAZING Blu-ray player(cheapest out there)
6)Internal hard drive, complete backwards compatibility with the PS1(PSX) and PS2....
7) Built in Wi-Fi
And so much more....research it for more
The Xbox 360 has a great (from what I've heard) Online system, and has cool games, but it's been out for a year and a half, and the PS3 for 3 or 4 months.....when the 360 came out, it didn't have any good games either, but look where it's gone now. It doesn't have as good of graphics as the PS3 as it uses Composite Cables instead of an HDMI cable (for blu-ray and best graphics...but you'll also need a really good TV for the best quality). The 360 plays less than half of original Xbox games, you can't buy ANY hard drive and replace it (PS3 is both internal and externally replaceable....), HD-DVD player is $200 more, and it wasn't rated very well, bringing it to the exact price of the PS# with blu-ray in it, Wifi adapter is $100 more, so it already costs more. Hmmmm......
The Wii......
I wanted one of these before I tried it. The controller is hard to use, not very "user-friendly". I love Nintendo, but I can't seem to get a hang of this system. The graphics are the same as the Gamecube (which is seemingly less than the original Xbox and the PS2.....). It's just Nintendo and it's cheaper. You get what you pay for.
In my opinion (sorry for the long post....) but just wait a few more months. A revised version of the PS3 which is smaller and a different chip will come out, maybe new colors....An Xbox 360 with HDMI ( a little better graphics on it....hopefully) which I heard will be in black, also. And a new Wii with a few different colors.
Go with whichever you desire, but I'd personally recommend
1) PS3
2) Xbox 360
3) Wii
p.s.-make sure you have/get a nice TV to fully experience it!

Yes, don't waste money on PS3!! Get a Wii or 360! Wii if you like games, 360 if you like graphics. The PS3 has no place in this world!!! It is an expensive heap of TRASH. Junk. Garbage. There was even a story once that on ebay, a person bidding on a PS3 opened up the box and got a broken PS3 covered in feces. Yuck, but that shows the PS3 for what it really is. Don't buy it.

If you want one of those two and not the Nintendo Wii, get the Xbox 360 for sure. It has pretty much the same graphics quality as the PS3, It's cheaper and so far, It looks like it has way more games as well as better, more enjoyable games

In my opinion, you should buy the PS3. Although most PS3s cost more, they are better because:
1. They have better graphics.
2. They are slightly newer
3. You can play games on them from PS1s and PS2s
4. They look cooler

to tell u the truth ps3 blu-ray fun high defintion games music movies internet photos. its expensive but i have to admit its kinda worth it. i have a wii and i play it and love it but my frineds have 360 and ps3. there about the same but not considering price ps3 is hands down best over 360. but in i would say wii best.no hd but ll th stuff and some

What ever you do, don't get a Wii. It's a piece of garbage, I don't know why people worship a game console with old technology. "Oh, it isn't the graphics, it's the controls" they say. Well screw the controls, those have been out ofr years, its like the tactical mouse (or some other mouse that didn't get very popular)
