I have windows live messenger on my laptop, but whenever I log into it, I get an error...If i just push the error to the side, i can still talk, but if I click ok on the error, it closes everything down. This comes up every time I sign into it on my laptop. I have repaired it several times, but it doesn't do anything. What can I do to fix this?

It doesn't do it during sign in...it only does it after.

well there isnt much to do. next time you log in tell all your friends that your getting a different account because you have had problems with your messenger. than creat a new account and chat then! if this doesnt work then try a different messenger like aol or yahoo. you dont have to have a aol email to have a messenger. i used to have one.

hmm...i think u need 2 uninstall the old window live messenger 1st...then download a new 1 and install again...u better don use same account in desktop n laptop...k

me too! idk if it's the same error. it says an "error during sign-in." but sorry 2 tell you that I don't think yuo'll find a fix 4 this. It's freakin makin me mad but there's NO cure! Stupid Microsoft. We have a love/hate relationship. :)

if you have a pc.... forgetaboutit... buy yourself a MAC, they work wonders! I just bought one last night from Fry's in city of industry. California.
