My eyes have an dark brown inner ring surrounded by a greenish outer ring. Unless I'm in outide on a sunny day or somewhere with a lot of light, my eyes just look plain brown, how can I play up the green? What shade of eyeshadow or eyeliner would look best? I'm 19, have fair skin, and really dark brown hair if that matters/helps.

Sounds like we have the same coloring. For my green eyes, I use purples and plums. If I don't want to go too dark, I'll use a dusty mauve as the shadow and plum shadow as the liner (w/ a liner brush). I wear olive green clothes which bring out the color of my eyes and look good w/ my skin and hair, but contrast it w/ purple makeup. DON'T go for green shadows. Good news for you- purple also makes brown eyes look richer! Two birds w/ one stone!

I suggest coloring your hair any red, auburn, or a dark reddish brown (mahogany) color will bring out the green in your hazel eyes. I too, have hazel eyes and i have dark red hair and it really brings out the green in my eyes. As far as makeup goes, i use black eyeliner to outline the outer part of my eye and then apply an eye shadow called ''Green Smoke'' and it's from MAC , it consist of light green, gold, and a touch of brown. But if you don't want to buy that color look for warm colors , like gold , green , or light browns. You should really stick with the opposite color of reds, for instance, gold, green, navy blue, and browns. Hope this helps.

Well you can start with those brows lol :) But I recommend the Almay Color Trios that match your shade. They have a green/grey/purple trio for green eyes that works wonders. If you don't wanna over do it with all that then use either of those colors solo with black eyeliner. Always use white on the inner corner of your eyes and under the brow. They also have a trio for hazel eyes that's perty. I know there's pink and I think browns in that one. Not sure, you'll have to check it out. But those trios have the perfect colors you need.

My sister wanted to accentuate the green in her eyes and she says she has been able to do it by using a copper or henna colored eye liner or a bit of shadow right down near the top eyelashes . She also has used pink or purpish eye shadow. Also, she says an eggplant colored eyeliner will also make your eyes really green.

This make-up artist told me that in order to make green eyes pop out use purple eyeshadow and to make blue eyes pop out, use green eye shadow. Don't forget that mascara. Use at least 2 coats for best results. I hope this helps!

Wearing magenta or magenta eyeshadow. Magenta is the opposite of green. It should make it stand out more, any sort of red works for my green eyes.
