...And they invaded the U.S., would you fight that invasion? And if you did, would that make you a terrorist?

If the U.S. Government had fallen, if Russia/China had installed a government that would pander to its interests, would the American people accept that? Would American factions spark a civil war? Would there be a civil war now if Republicans and Democrats were divided geographically?

What Hussein did or did not do has no impact on whether Iraq's citizens are terrorists because they resist an American invasion.

"Long considered a fragmentary and disorganized collection of groups with varying tactics and aims, Iraq's insurgency is showing signs of increasing coordination, consolidation and confidence, those who study it now say. There is no consensus on the precise number of insurgent fighters, but estimates range from a few thousand to more than 50,000. The vast majority of insurgents, probably more than 90 percent, are believed to be Iraqis from the Sunni minority group that largely ruled the country before the fall of Saddam Hussein. But U.S. commanders say that most of the deadliest attacks, and particularly suicide attacks, are committed by foreigners from a range of neighboring countries, including Jordan, Syrian, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Sudan."

Good point. Many of the insurgents in Iraq are simply fighting the invasion. They are not terrorists. No one likes to be invaded.

Wow! Has the leftist press screwed with your head or what? The people who are fighting against us are not Iraqi patriots trying to expell a foreign invader. Where did you ever get that nonsense? There was an election in Iraq, remember? A new government was elected and the partriotic Iraqi voters elected them, remember? The people blowing up both our soldiers and Iraqi civilians are insurgents who oppose the newly elected Iraqi government. Many of them are not even Iraqi.

To more directly answer your odd question, if China, Russia or anyone else invaded the U.S. they would be opposed by patriotic Americans. I don't think you would find those patriots blowing up hundred of American civilians, do you? Get a clue!

If US government supports terrorism - it must die, I would support the righteous president! But I don't think Ru's. and China. have time to invade us since Americans are the ones who put that government down. They don't stay idle or suppressed like the Iraqis!
If Russia and China didn't have anything thing to prove that USA is behind terrorism ( event like 9/11 - bombed trains, bus, schools...), and they made things up, they will be dead meat the moment they step on our soil!
You are too lazy to research about Iraq condition before posting this ex. - Iraq and USA never be the same for comparison!

There is a fine line between terrorist and freedom fighter. Terrorists car-bomb populated areas and kill civilians. Freedom fighters attack only the aggressors.

If I put my Second Amendment rights into action and fought the invasion that would not qualify me as a terrorist, but if I bombed a busy street with a few Russians among civilians then I would be a terrorist. Fighting an invasion alone does not automatically label you a terrorist, it's in the WAY you fight it.

I don't know thats alot of what ifs.
Would this be after dozens of UN resolutions saying the USA and Bush were a threat and we had kicked UN inspectors out of the US after agreeing to have them take a look?

Lamp, most of the terrorists in Iraq appear to not be citizens of Iraq but citizens of other countries like Iran. Thats why they call them insurgents.

That's a thought that's going to fester. I'm having a Red Dawn flashback! I also just watched the miniseries "The '60s", and if you replaced all of the "southeast Asia"s with "central Asia" and all of the "communism"s with "terrorism" there is a remarkable parallel.

If it got to that point where they had enough control to instate their own government there wouldn't be many Americans left buddy so who cares, any real Americans would fight till the end.

Why in the world would China and Russia decide that Bush was a maniac and invade the US? Neither would need to. China gets a lot of our dollars in trade. And Russia is making money off the war, by selling arms to Iran.

Yes, I know your question is hypothetical, and you want us to say that we would become insurgents. It's just not the way it is. It's not the way the war started, and its not going to fly.

The US is NOT a "rogue state threatening world peace." We have not allowed Bush to commit genocide against a third of our people. And he wouldn't.

If this were to happen, and if I were to strap on an explosive vest full of lethal shrapnel and stroll into a shopping center full of innocent men, women and children and detonate it - then, yes, I would be a terrorist.

If, however, I decided to fight only the invaders to MAINTAIN OUR FREEDOM, then, no, I would be a freedom fighter.

And don't even try and lay that label on the terrorists who are killing their own citizens in a desperate effort to PREVENT FREEDOM.

A lot of people beyond USA think now that the U.S.A. is a rogue state threatening world peace.

But no country plans such stupid action.
So what?
